Saturday I wake up to eat a bowl of Strawberry Honeycombs....ahhh the goodness! Again warm our bodies with JLo and Mariah. The across the floors end and we learn some movement that could be a change for our show, we're not quite sure at this point. No problem cause we are all getting better. Within this long day we fix our ending movement from the diagonal. Learn A and B parts which result in us ending the in corner...cool stuff!! Some where in this long day we learn a new ending set to our head stand. Of course we have to practice this head stand in the new head stand set it makes sense...right? Once....maybe twice....no....wait....I'm wrong....did anyone really count? How many was it? Whatever, how many ever.....the day ended great as in we learned new parts and are making ourselves better. We also learned that a plate of spaghetti in your face burns your nose...isn't that right Maya? Oh by the way Nathan what happened to your.........WHAT! The freezer? Who would do such a crazy thing? The end of the weekend finally arrives. But it's not any regular day IT'S A SHOW DAY!!! We have a few hours of rehearsal, go over parts, and end in a run. Wow what a weekend! So much to remember, but we can do it! We all shower, pack up, and clean the armory. Soon enough we're down the road headed for Kentucky. The show this week is Ryle HS which is awesome because that's where TriState Championships are in two weeks. So we can all get a feel for the place before champs. Once we arrive some of us watch a few guards. Andy and I received good news from a guard we both teach. Yeah! Get it DHHS! Sorry, back on track. We have Pride body with Johnny, then body warm up which resulted in going over the head stand and any new changes from the weekend and of course how could I forget singing "The Greatest Love of All." In equipment warm up the staff played the show music for any of us who wanted to run parts with music. Once warm up was completed we headed to the hallway and soon enough...actually really soon we headed to the gym floor for our performance. With the gym being quite hot and dry on top of new changes with drill and work, we were able to pull through it together. Though a few of us felt the performance was rough the staff thought we were pretty successful and improving since our last regional at Mideast. In all we're getting better, new changes for the better and what not. Here we come California!! Back to the 2006 Diaries page!
