This was my first home show for the season so I was really excited! My family, friends, and the Northmont girls were all there. I was really happy that they were there to see me and to see what I do every weekend.
This was also the weekend that we wore our costume and makeup instead of wearing our "blacks". So we were all ecstatic to finally be in "full costume". Although there were a few flaws in a couple costumes we made it through and we all looked marvelous.
There was a little collision within the guard on our way there. We were all in the carpool on our way to the show, the traffic was a little on the heavy side, and we had three of our cars in a fender bender!! Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt . Although four people had to go to the hospital for X-rays on their necks. We had to make sure that everyone was going to be okay and no further problems would come from this little incident.
So we performed the show with four holes!!! It was kind of crazy!! To be honest it was really weird to have four people missing when we performed. We had a pretty good show but to look over and see no one when there is usually someone next to you plays with your mind a little bit.
It was nice to have the whole guard back on Friday.
Overall I would say that it was a wonderful weekend. Sure there were some set backs throughout the weekend but we handled them and came together as a guard.
