Like every Friday, all of us in POC packed our bags and headed out the door for Middletown, OH. I switched things up a bit and road up with Shannon to keep her company on our almost 2 hour drive. Yes! We were finally back at Mid-town. Even though I'd rather eat green beans through a straw than take out the mirrors, I think I can speak for us all and say that it was good to be back at Mid-town. You know how people say "Home is where the heart is?"........yeah, well it's nothing like that. I just wanted to know if you knew that phrase. Finally, after two weeks, my flag wasn't going to duke it out with the walls.

Anyway, like every Friday night, we roll into the armory excited to see each other and with funny stories from the week. Although, it's almost as if we JUST saw each other, we still have so much to talk about. Especially Nathan Jennings. When isn't he talking?!

But this week was different for the POC. We had our first show. Preview! So with that energy, we started the night off with our two girls, JLo and Mariah. Then, we worked on our adagio. Holy guacamole, batman we're doing some dancing this year. After flinging sweat at each other, we got right into where we left off in our show last week. We had a show to do the next day so we had to get down to business. Of course we closed the night with a run thru, no wait...two run thrus. Shock. Then, it was off for a Kroger run. MMMMMMMM food! Then it was good night POC.

Saturday morning started with a cold glass of Mountain Dew and a nice sticky cinnamon bun donated to me by Aaron. It was like carmel pillows floating in my mouth. Thanks AJ! Once again, JLo woke our bodies up and Ciara said our beat was automatic, supersonic, hypnotic, funky fresh when we warmed up on our equipment. I don't disagree, it is funky fresh. Anyway, we definintely kicked our butts into gear and worked as hard as we could during our rehearsal block before the show. AND yet again, we performed our way through 2 run thrus.. Um...shock?! Kidding, mean it.

A few minutes later we packed up, showered, primped, curled, and cleaned our way out the armory doors and onto our pimped out ride. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we piled on the big twinkie and headed out to Campbell County HS with or without our black pants. Right, Rachel?!

Typical guard routine, we unloaded when we got there and went to support the performing guards. Rock it!

Next thing you know, it was our turn. After a nice warm up, we were ready to show up and show out. The gym was ready for us as much as we were ready for them. It's true, we did a fabulous job and we started our season off great. ShaZAM!But oh no, the night wasn't over just yet. Thanks to some great people, we had lots of pizza and tasty beverages after the show. Then, it was back to the gym for more rehearsing.

Although, we are doing well with our show, we still have LOTS to do, so there's no "chillaxing" just yet. I'm not going to lie, I didn't know where my energy was coming from or where it was going because it left the building a looooong time ago. Yeppers, you guessed it. To show what progress we made in 3 hours, we finished our night with a run thru. So what? That makes eight. Boink! Thanks Campbell County, for letting us use your gym.

Tired and sore, we woke up at 8 am on Sunday. This morning was D-day. Johnny Amos had a challenge for the guard during dance class. Our new adagio turned the boys against the girls. We had the battle of the adagio! Personally, I think the girls won but we won't know till next week. To be continued. Go Team Go!

After our duel, we sweat, laughed, stressed, danced and spun our way through our first block then headed to lunch with Suzie, our makeup lady. Suzie taught us how to color our faces and do our hair for our show. We're going to be shazamin'! P.S. Nathan, is that mascara water proof? Thanks, Suzie.

Well, to end it all, we finished what we could before four and ended our great weekend with a run thru. What? Not another one? That is a shock. I mean...hiiiiiiiii. Love ya, mean it. Nathan shut up!
